mom-finds-out-of-facebook-son-died_1Georgia police have resorted to using Facebook for death notices. Anna Lamb-Creasey received a message via Facebook asking her to contact the Police as soon as she could. Mrs. Lamb-Creasey did not see the message for 20 days. When she contacted the police she was informed that her son died in a car accident.

A Georgia mother is upset not only over the death of her 30-year-old son but the method by which she was informed he was killed in a car accident. Police attempted to contact her through a Facebook message, which she didn’t see for weeks.

An apology has gone out to the family, but Mrs. Lamb-Creasey says the time it took to contact her was unacceptable.

The department apologized to the family, but Lamb-Creasey said the amount of time that lapsed was unacceptable.

“It should not have taken 20 days for them to reach me,” she said according to AJC.

That is horrible! I can not imagine what she is going through after something like that happened.

20 days?! This is complete insanity.
