Slug Fest at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park celebrates the slimy, surprising world of banana slugs with a weekend full of family-friendly activities, races, crafts, and hands-on learning. The annual event has become a favorite for visitors who appreciate quirky experiences, wildlife, and time outdoors. Learn why slugs play an important role in Northwest forests as nature’s cleanup crew, helping break down organic matter and return nutrients to the ecosystem. Guests can register at the Picnic Pavilion 15 minutes before each race. Race Times: • 11:30 AM • 1:30 PM • 3:30 PM Slug Fest is included with park admission or membership.
