Three Miles of Flat Trail Keep Enumclaw Businesses Reachable While the Bridge Is Out

The Foothills Trail between Buckley and Enumclaw offers a mostly flat, family-friendly 3-mile ride that bypasses the White River Bridge closure and puts local shops within reach.
ENUMCLAW, WA—The White River Bridge closure doesn’t have to mean a hard stop on supporting local businesses, and the Foothills Trail is making the case that two wheels are a reasonable workaround. The paved trail runs about 3 miles one way between Buckley and Enumclaw, takes roughly 20 minutes to ride, and is flat enough to qualify as genuinely easy—kids included.
Parking is available on both ends, with the Buckley side offering spots near the Log Show grounds and public lots adjacent to the trailhead at 455 N River Ave. On the Enumclaw end, Headworks Brewing and Burger Buds are flagged as worthy stops.
Buckley’s own Mount Rainier Creamery earns a mention on the return leg, which honestly isn’t the worst reason to ride back the way you came.
